The Beach Vs. The City

Last Sunday we took Sweep's little nephew to the city and to have some fun at the beach. He's visiting us for a couple of weeks. He lives in Texas so we don't get to see him that much. Sweep's parents came along too. We all had a load of fun.

On Saturday, we decided to be spontaneous and drove out of state to visit some of husband's family. Along the way we saw a tree covered in shoes. I guess that's how they do it out that way.

Boy Oh Boy! We had a crazy-busy weekend. On Friday I took the girls to Pirate Park. They had a lot of fun there. Especially riding on the spinning ride. Here are a few snapshots of our little trek to Pirate Park.

Marshmallow Madness

This kiddo loved the great outdoors. He was perfectly content with his marshmallows on a stick or shall I say his "flying orbitron with two spinners," as he called it. Just watching him dig himself into the dirt like it was sand at the beach reminded me that kids can find so much joy in even the simplest of things. Thanks my little Mowgli.

A Camping We Will Go

It's been awhile since I posted last. Things have been crazy busy around here. But than again what else is new. We had parties to attend and dinner plans with friends. Our latest adventure happened to be our camping trip this past weekend. This was my very first time camping. I had a lot of fun even though I had to take a cold shower and sleep on an air matress with a leak. While the men cooked, us girls got to relax, and Brawin the dog slept most of the time. It was a great experience.
